St. George Marathon

This is the first year that I actually rode the bus to the starting line.. It wasn't so bad. We had some great company.  L2R Johanna, Kathryn, Me and Brant (nina's brother)

Another one bites the dust!... that would be me.  It was  a great year and everyone was beating times left and right.. Kat ran a 3:21 WHAT??  so awesome.  She is amazing. It was so fun to train with her this year.  I am thrilled she beat her time and did SO GREAT!
Johanna came and ran with us (my seminary student from Ohio that is going to BYU right now).. She rocked it with a 3:40 something.  We trained some long runs together and it was SOO fun. She probably thought it was weird to run with old ladies... but I think we showed her a good time. :)

Jenn and Katie came to support and Jenn ran the last 6 miles with me.. I NEEDED help.  I finished in 4:10... not bad for a pregnant lady!!  Yeah, I was 8 weeks pregnant and didn't know it.. Maybe that's why I was so slow??  ... Anyone else think it's funny that I always have an excuse as to why the race wasn't my best??  haha.. I guess that's what keeps me going - excuses!  I actually found out I was pregnant a week before the race, so I was trying not to push too hard - just in case. Turns out it didn't really matter in the end, because the pregnancy failed anyway.
So -- it was an unexpected pregnancy, and at 12 weeks I miscarried.  What a bummer! Experiences like these make me so glad I have 4 healthy boys already.   We are now in the baby mode and hope to get a new little Nadauld here soon.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed I can get a girl! :)

AnnDee,

Seriously, I just spent about an hour and a half catching up on your blog!! I've missed the updates! I'm so sorry about the miscarriage. I know too well what that is like. I'm hoping for a girl for you too! Although I do think you make some pretty awesome boys. I hope we get to talk soon! You are way busier than I am, so when ever you are free to talk, I am!
