First day of school

The first day of school.  Jake is in 3rd Grade this year at hobblecreek elementary.  His teacher is Mrs. MacAfee and he's heard she is mean... so we'll have to see if she turns out that way or not.  I love how kids already have a teacher they want.. and the coveted 3rd grade teacher right now is Mr. Hart and it's only because he doesn't have homework... hahaha  Smart Kids!

Luke is the BIG 1st grader.  Last year he was the youngest 1st grader and this year he gets to be the oldest.  He is starting the chinese immersion program at Sage Creek elementary.  He has Mrs. Chen for part of the day (and they only speak chinese) and Mrs. Shaffer for part.  She is the English teacher and we LOVE her.  She is in our ward and is so great.  Can't wait for a different year and we hope it starts new today!  We are keeping our fingers crossed around our house. :)
Sam starts 3 year old preschool this year with Miss Stephanie.  He is so excited to go to school like his brothers.. It will be fun, I'm sure!
Nate just thinks the babysitter is school and he's happy to join in on the fun picture taking today!
Cute boys.. love the dark summer skin.

Is it over yet? :(

We just aren't ready for the summer to end... I have LOVED taking the kids to seven peaks.  I never even went with other people, because keeping up with 4 boys is a full time job.  It was great though. Next summer will be even better when all 4 are swimming proficiently!

A little picture of the 7-peaks stamp.
One silly shot for the camera.

I got to run one of my favorite runs with some of my FAVORITE people.  The Hobblecreek 1/2 marathon is the best.  It is all down hill and this year, the weather was PERFECT.
We even got a tail wind on miles 11 and 12 -- THANK YOU!

The 3 of us made it in the top 100 overall and got medals and a carnation... saweet
Everyone broke records, and ROCKED it.  Everyone, of course.. but me.  I did okay 1:44, but no broken records.  I'm starting to think I need a break from running.  It's getting hard. :)  Oh well -- now I get to think about St. George, and I will FOR SURE do better there.  I can't really do worse than I've been doing, right?
