Luke is 4

I think Luke had a pretty good day!  I was worried about him having a birthday in Utah because he doesn't have any friends here yet, but thanks to cousins -- the day was a success.  The day started with his choice of breakfast in bead.  "Smart" pancakes -- named by grandma Heaton -- are pancakes in fun shapes.  Luke wanted an "L" and a "4."  He wanted ham and sausage and OJ.

My sister came up a couple days early for a family vacation and was able to stay with us over Luke's birthday.  WE had a house full of cousins with her kids and Steve and Stacy's.  It was great.  The only friends that came besides cousins were our friends we met in Ohio -- the Brostroms.  We have LOVED having them 15 minutes away here in Utah now.

They all ate their treats on our trampoline -- love the summertime and sending messy things outside!

Luke favorite gift was his Indian cloths from Grandma Heaton -- she made the trip just to give him his gift on his birthday.  We also went to Incredibles at the Movie theatre and swam in our blow up pool.  We finished his birthday with a tour through the Oquerh (SP?) Mountain Temple.  WHAT A DAY!

We sure love you Luke and enjoy the entertainment you provide for our family!!  happy 4th.

Heaton Reunion

Each Year we take turns as married couples to plan Family vacations.  So far we've been camping, spent the weekend in SLC - lagoon, hike timpanogas, eat out, and this year we spent the weekend at Zions Ponderosa Lodge.  We all had a blast.... Here is the footage of the fun..

They had this great lodge we all stayed in and as part of the facilities was a super fun pool.  We spent a lot of the time there.  It had water slides and hot tubs.  Taylor was once again, in his element.

The boys liked when Taylor did the triple whips on them...  Here is Jake.

The Lodge had lots of other fun activities.  We got us a golf cart and had some fun.

There were zip lines and bouncy lines -- we had so much fun!

A couple pictures of the fireworks.  Sam was not that pleased, but everyone else loved it.. :)

After the Sun Bowl Fireworks, we went to Grandma Heatons and had our own display.  The kids loved that.  And Jake learned not to touch sparklers after they burn out --- ouch!

 

The kids all made indian paint (crushed up flowers mixed with water) and looked like real Indians -- almost!  We got to take the Ranger down to the rim... One of Taylor's favorite parts of the Ranch.

To finish off the reunion, a few families made a quick trip to the Bar 10.  I love this place.  I worked there until I was 23 -- every summer.  Now my brothers have taken over the business (with my mom's help of course)..  My boys beg to go to the ranch every time we are in St. George.  You can see why!
