CHRISTMAS day 2010

Doesn't everyone have to wait on the stairs???

It seems like the hardest part of Christmas is waiting to open presents...

Taylor and I both had to...  My kids hate it!! :)

They Look pretty happy.  I think the day turned out pretty fun.  I just remember how I looked forward to Christmas and it's hard NOT to be excited for them when they are this age and just so happy for everything.  We sure love you boys..

We tried Christmas how Taylor did it growing up this year.  The kids weren't all old enough to ski, so we went tubing instead.  We had 4 different Nadauld families that all went together.  The kids loved it.

One good thing about playing in the snow is that you get tuckered out!  We came home and had a big breakfast dinner...

Opened our new PJ's and went right to sleep!!  The best days ever.

SNOW DAYS.. The BEST!

Our first snow day~  We got a lot of them in Ohio, and it didn't

 even snow there.  But it was a big enough blizzard to call off the school day.  Taylor took part of the day off and pulled the kids and cousins behind the four wheeler.

So we also went ice skating for some fun over the Christmas break..

Christmas In St. George

We always do a talent show and a family dinner each year.  It's always fun to have all the Heaton's together.  We are a big rowdy group and have a lot of fun.

Christmas Time is COMING!

It's December and time to get the tree decorated!

Each year the kids decorate a tree and we start with stringing popcorn and cranberries. They only poked themselves a couple times each.  Not Bad.

Here is our real Christmas Tree.  It's the first year we have had a tree.  We've always been traveling over Christmas so we never took the time to decorate a big tree.  It made the house seem so festive.  I loved it. :)

Jake had polar express day at school and made a conductor's hat and a candy train.  First grade has been so much fun for him.  We sure love his teacher Mrs. Wayment.

 Oh yeah and Nate started crawling this month.  8 months and he's going everywhere.  He also learned patty cake and is just our happy little guy.  We love this baby!!

Our son the Chess Champ!

Jake brought home a flier for the district Chess Tournament.  That night Taylor taught him how to play and 2 weeks later he was competing against other 1st graders --- so random!

I was amazed that he could keep his attention for 5 hours straight.  What will-power.  He ended up 5th in District and placed 21st in the state competition.  We'll see how long this interest lasts, he's pretty dang good for a 6 year old.

Thanks to Uncle Kirk. Sam even got a ride.  It makes me nervous to ride with my kids.  I can barely handle the horses on my own, let alone take care of a child on one!
