AHH I actually was SUPER surprised. I mean, I was prepared for it to be a boy, but I REALLY thought it was a girl!! SO FUN, we got our basketball team. I just think our cheerleaders are going to be a bit outnumbered though.
Welcome Andrew Stephen Nadauld
Born: April 26th, 2016 6:55 pm
7 Pounds 6 ounces
20 inches
And below is how the journey of Andrew's Birth was documented!
I always get nervous about the delivery. Just about me being okay and
the baby being okay. It is also one of Taylor's most stressful things.
I mean, with epidurals and modern medicine, it's usually pretty slick.
However, I've know too many people where things go drastically wrong in
the last minutes. So, yeah my feelings right now were pretty tense. That doesn't really show in our faces.
Not so bad in the above angle (with a black shirt of course!). But wowzers in the bottom. That 50 pounds is quite obvious in the bottom one!
Lets get things rollin! I really should have waited another week for this little guy to cook, but I was antsy to get the baby here. So we found out our doctor was on call exactly 1 week before my due date and it was done and scheduled in no time.
It's always nice to have Taylor by my side. He really does make me
feel secure in all aspects of my life and I just am grateful to have him
with me through life.

We got in and hooked up with pitocin and were ready to go by 8am. I kind of figured it would be done and over with by noon. NOT SO LUCKY!! we waited and waited for something to happen. NOTHING. They had the pit turned up as high as they could. By about 1pm they decided to break my water. By 4pm still no real progress. I was at a 4+, I decided to get the epidural and then really nothing happened. Finally, at 6pm they checked me and I was at like a 5 and Taylor decided to head across the street to get some Chick Fil A. And the doctor came in and said, well you are ready! Of course it took Taylor leaving before anything happened. I went from a 5 to complete in about 5 minutes. Thank goodness for the epidural! That would have hurt. Taylor made it back and I pushed the little bug out in one push. I had to stop because the cord was wrapped 3 times around his neck.
But after some suctioning, he started crying and went from purple to pink pretty fast.
I don't know if it was because the cord was tangled and Taylor had to cut the cord before he could be all the way delivered, but his cord kept bleeding and bleeding.
So the nurses tried to adjust it, and hold it.
They weighed him. 7 pounds 6 ounces.
And they adjusted the cord again!
finally she just held it there for a few minutes and it FINALLY stopped bleeding.
Cute little bug looks chubby in the pic below, but he is just a little squirt.
As you can see... It was a long day for Taylor. HAHA but he does really get stressed when I have babies. Well, it is the last one for us and all 6 have gone very well. Glad that part of having a baby is done!
We welcomed little Drew quickly into our arms (after they cleaned him up a bit and stopped the cord from bleeding!)
So glad to have both my sister and my mom there for us throughout the day. Its always fun to share these special times with those that are just as excited as you about the new little ones coming.
Margaret and Steve were right there too, waiting to hear the little baby scream to come and hold him. I love the picture with Taylor and his dad, because he always does an inventory check to make sure all 10 fingers and toes are present. It's kind of a joke, but cute at the same time!
Love seeing Taylor with his babies. He is such a great dad. It's not his favorite thing to hold newborns, but he is always so tender with them.
Grandmas and aunts are the best. This little guy is coming into a family of love for sure!
The kids came up as soon as Steve and Stacy could get them here. Thanks to awesome family that babysat while we were in the hospital and then transported the heard to see the new babe.
I think its always weird to see your mom in the hospital. The boys were very curious about all my needles and especially interested to see my tummy post baby. Wish it were flatter, that was a disappointment to them. They thought I still looked pregnant. HA
I for some reason didn't get any pictures with Steve and Stacy, but they were there too!! I love having them live so close. And I had no problems at all claiming them as my own children so they could sneak into the delivery room and see the baby.
Good thing Breckon came to help Mimi feel loved. She is in love with Breckon and he always takes time to make her feel special.
Just a few pictures of all the boys getting their first turn to hold baby Drew.
my mom let all the kids make T-shirts to wear to the hospital. It helped them pass the time while they were dying to come see if the baby was born yet!
As you can see they are very in love with the new baby already. LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT.
And this is our NEW crazy complete family of 8. Seems like a ton of kids to me, I hope we can manage to keep them happy and alive! :)
But for now, lets get me out of the delivery room. In regular cloths and a bed. Send the baby to the nursery and GET SOME SLEEP. LONG WONDERFUL DAY. IT WAS PERFECT!
