More May Activities

 May is always a busy month, and I guess having a newborn is no excuse to miss out on the fun!

 One new sport (Because we obviously don't have enough already) was City Track.  The boys had so much fun and learned quite a bit about form and technique too.

 The kids had a few track meets, and it was fun to see them compete.  Who knew running could be fun!?

One final hoorah for soccer. Jake felt like it was too much, so he didn't even try out this year. After a little coaxing and pleading from his coach, we ended up playing one final season.  We sure loved our Coach and team, but on to many other sports for Jake the Defender. :)

Just some random pictures of May.  We have LOVED the reservoir up the street.  Little Drew fits nicely in the soly baby from Amber.  Snug as a bug!  And to help with Nate's digital addiction, we made a rule he had to do a puzzle every day before playing on the electronics.  He got pretty good and was proud of his puzzles.  Handsome boy!

And a couple more, because he's so sweet.  Smiling and crying, I guess we'll take both.  And he does a lot of both! I guess that's par for the course.  But it sure can be exhausting.

 Last day of school, and Jake and Taylor got to go to the BYU fathers and sons camp.  To say the least, it was an absolute hit!  I wanted to start a tradition that made turning 12 a little more special than the other birthdays to date.  And this is for sure going to continue on! Jake and Taylor spent the weekend on campus interacting with athletes and coaches of every sport and using the facilities.  It was extra fun because James and Lincoln were there too. 

 While Jake and Taylor were gone, we had some fun with the LivewElle 5K and cousins.  We have come to LOVE the LivewElle race and love the family that it was started for even more.  Nick is in love with Kate Hullinger and we hope to have her in the family soon! (we need to get him home from a mission first, I guess).  And Sam, is in love with Nick Hullinger (pictured above next to Sam).  We are so lucky to know this amazing family!  It's always a special day honoring the Hullinger's little girl who passed away at just 1 1/2.  Mimi's age exactly.  I can't imagine.

 We did find time to shoot some nice, cheap, and some home made bows and arrows over the weekend too.  We are lucky to live so close to Hobble Creek Canyon.  Shooting seems to be a sport for these springville-ites, but also allowed the cousins a safe place to fire away!

 Next, up to Heber to see Philly cousins (in town for the father and sons), and to do a little work planting the garden.

 And when in Heber, there is always fun times to be had.  The neighbor let us ride their Shetland ponies.

 And, little cutie with Grammie.  Flirting away.  They learn young to feel the love of those who love them and Grammie is on the top of that list!

"Thank Heaven for little Boys"  It's on his sleeper, and it's totally my sentiments.  I just think little boys are the greatest, and we have 5 of the best sent to our home.

LAST DAYS OF SCHOOL

Jake has officially finished elementary.  To say this kid is excited for junior high is an understatement.  HE CAN'T WAIT! 

He  tried out for class representative and was selected as the rep from Hobble Elementary.  He is lucky to have an awesome cousin who was willing to help him with his video.  You can see it below.  I LOVE it.  Thanks BRECKON.  You are awesome!

Here is a cute picture of his 6th grade teachers.  He had Mrs. Nissen (the third one from the left) this year.  He started out the year a little bummed not getting the teacher with most his other friends, but he ending up really liking Mrs. Nissen.  I'm so glad people are willing to teach our children.

He looks so handsome in his suit! we rushed to get it right before the assembly.  It was about time, he needed it to pass the sacrament in church as well!

Grandma Heaton is such a great supporter.  She came up just for his graduation.  And of course, she enjoyed seeing the other kids and holding baby Drew too!!

  Brother's are the best friends! I'm so glad they like each other.




They had a great program and then got to have a grad party afterwards!  Lucky 6th graders.  They are so big now!

The whole Class of  2022!

 Jake sure has some great friends.  I'm glad he could photobomb the girls picture.  They sure are some cuties!!

Luke had an assembly for the 4th graders.  It was American History.  He was a pretty cute settler. 

 And Sage Creek does the end of year dance festival each year.  Luke's was super fun because it was hiphop.  He was on of the few selected 4th graders to do "the worm." He was pretty stoked.

Another graduation that is a big deal is moving from Kindergarten to ALL DAY SCHOOL.  Nate is super excited and very ready for all day school. 

Nate played I'm an indian at his graduation talent show.  He was great and didn't get stage freight at all! I shouldn't have been worried, he loves showing off for people!

 Sure love this big boy. Now that Jake has left Hobblecreek and Nate is old enough to start Chinese, we are saying goodbye to this wonderful elementary for a few years. 

Coming of Age

I can't believe this kid is 12!

 Jake has always been the perfect oldest child.  He is smart, kind, fun, hard working, and VERY capable.  This is a weird angle of him, but he is also the most handsome 12 year old around!  No bias here, for sure. :)

 His breakfast in bed choice, was a whole heap of toaster struddles.  Weird boy. At least it wasn't a carton of cool whip like last year.  We all took turns sharing what we love about him.  You can see that video below:

And in true Nadauld fashion, we end up in a wrestling match on Jake's floor.  Sheesh.  These boys! Notice the big boy on the bottom of course.  :)
