| It finally happened. I got Taylor on the River! |
 |
| It only took us nearly 10 years to do. |
 |
| I had to suit up for the rapids... we had one day of rapid after rapid and the water was sooooo cold. Taylor man'd up and sat in the front without protection. I was just too wimpy, and had to wear my rain suit. |
It was such a fun trip. We ate well, slept okay, and loved being together in the sun all day long. The weather was perfect. Not too hot, but blue skies.
Here are a few pictures of us on the boat. We tried to switch around a little to be able to mingle with all the guests. We went on hikes, and had 30 foot rapids splash us, and just laid around and chilled.
Lots of beautiful photo opportunities. None of which do the trip justice..
Taylor had plenty of water falls to jump over and go under. Unfortunately, we had a casualty... Taylor's FAVORITE BYU rugby hat. I don't know what he was thinking as he did a back flip into the river only to never see his hat again...
Above: A view from one of our campsites... we had the penthouse that night.
Some fun boat pics... we all got pretty close.
Below: I was trying to be artsy and get a picture of our feet on the pontoon.

Above: Us above Deer Creek Falls: A guide liked my dollar shirt so much I gave it to her at the end of the trip.... pretty gross to give someone a shirt they wore on the river for a week - she was thrilled. I don't think I could ever hack being a guide. Too natural for me!
Another one of me and my handsome hubby
These pictures of the aqua blue water was the greatest place on earth. Havasu Falls. Unfortunately, I made Taylor run a death march to try to get to some upper falls before the boats left. He was NO HAPPY, but now we have a good story to tell.. We ran 6 miles and scaled a cliff without any ropes and lived to tell about it. :) The good news is we had about 1/2 hour to play in the water when we got back.
Taylor was of course loved by all the teenagers. He fit right in!! In fact at the end of the trip everyone wanted a picture of just the kids in the group and they asked Taylor to be in it. No joke -- they all loved him - adults and kids alike!
Good by colorado river.... We'll be back, but never soon enough!!
