End of School Festivities

Another Year down.  How is it that every year goes by faster than the last!!  This month was fun filled with lots of end of year productions.

Jake worked extra hard and was listed on the 5th Grade Honors Roll.  This kid is a keeper.  I had a friend tell me today that her daughter (same age as Jake) that Jake is one of the nicest kids in the school.  It melted my heart.  I always try to tell Jake that the most important thing that will get people to like you is if you are kind.  I sure hope it is sinking in!! At least I know it has with one friend. :)  I hope he continues to make good choices and friends.  He is such a great kid.  we sure love him!
Above is also a picture with his 5th grade teacher Miss Sant.  Not his favorite teacher, but he survived and tried to be well-behaved despite his boredom in the class. :)  #itsrufftobesmart

We sure loved Luke's teachers this year.  This is Mrs. Foote's last year (she is retiring) and I'm so sad none of my other boys will get her.  She is amazing.  We loved Mrs. Wang too.  Chinese is getting better each year for him.

Sage Creek Cultural Dance Festival is always entertaining with these cute little dudes. L2R below: Luke, Trek, Porter

The rain held out just until Luke's grade was done, but I was able to run inside after him and grab this picture of him and a couple buds.  Silly Luke, he always makes us smile.  LOVE HIM!
l

Kindergarten officially over!  Sam did great, and is very ready for 1st grade.  Mrs. O is pretty intense and it prepared Sam to have to talk to people that aren't warm and fuzzy all the time.  He learned a lot.  Way to GO!
Sam's buddy that will be going to Sage creek with us next year.  Brydger and Sam and pretty cute together.  above is a picture of the graduate walk and Sam getting his certificate.  In Mrs. O's class, everyone gets to show a talent too.  Sam's was tying his shoe and he was the only student that knew how already.  Pretty awesome dude!

Some more of Sam's kinder buddies below L2R: Carson, Sam, Gage, Beckam  Ice cream party!
And Nate is headed off to real school. )  Pre-school was a breeze for him because he is my SOCIAL BUTTERFLY.

Mrs. Cindy and Mrs. Tami were great teachers.  I hope I can work it out to send Mimi to Ms Cindy when she is old enough.  We absolutely love her.
Nate with his preschool buddies Cam and Kyle.  Watch out Hobble Creek Elementary... the herd is on their way...
A couple mommy pictures with my two little boys.  I seriously can't believe I have reached a point with all the boys in elementary.  I thought the day would never come.  Good thing I have Mimi to keep me company now. :)

May showers bring June flowers, right?

Month of rain, but some good times too! here is a dump of the activities... some in the rain, some on the rare occasion it held up for a few hours.
Click here to see some video of the cute boys:  They are growing up!
The boys made a fire pit in the sand box from the left over bricks at our house.  Quite ingenious I would say.  We all had a fun night of treats.

Mimi really enjoyed the grahams and chocolate too!

My nephew Kaden plays on the Snow Canyon High School Rugby team.  They were up here playing for the state Championship.  THEY WON on a "out of time" TRY.  so exciting and fun to cheer at a sport that was born in my boys blood.  It was freezing and of course RAINING because that's all it does this month, but worth watching a sweet victory!

Friends and Family 5k run.... another even in the RAIN, but it's always fun to see my kids out and exercising.  (Above is us with the Rowe Family in our ward.  My kids all love this family).  This race is put on by the Church and no medals or timing was done.  Just fun to get out and finish.  In the beautiful May weather.  hahah!

Luke with a couple buddies showing off the Robotics Club.  We are really liking Sage Creek and are excited to get Sam over there next year too.

Jake had a raging friend party and his friend's (Jarom) mom sent over these pictures.  Jake has a good group of kids he hangs around.  This was one of his first late night boy parties and it didn't disappoint.  Pizza and games and movies till they were tired out!

My boys were lucky enough to go and be ball boys for the national championship rugby game (BYU).  We are lucky to have uncles involved with the team, so we always get a heads up when things are going on.  I sure wish they didn't think rugby was as cool as they do, but this was pretty much a highlight in their life, and it's fun to see them happy!!!

Mimi turned 9 months old and is still the sweetest little peanut around.  She is pulling herself up and loves to walk with her walker toy.  She just smiles all the time and loves her mom and dad!
Some more 9 month picts for your viewing pleasure.  And mine!

Mimi is "SO BIG" as you can see her throwing her hands up to the riddle... cute.
Here's a video of her patty cake tricks: Patty Cake
Here's a video of her crawling: 9 mos and CRAWLING
And some more rain and snow as I TRIED to run the Ogden Marathon.  I was shooting for a 3:40 and got a great 4:03!!  It was FREEZING and wet the WHOLE RUN.  but the course was beautiful and I of course have beautiful friends to run with.  It's always fun when it's over, but most the time I wonder why in the world I like to run marathons!!!

Labor Day weekend and a couple other fun shots

Labor Day weekend means the pool in Heber is OFFICIALLY OPEN.  Hip Hip Horray! And notice the tradition of annual summer buzz cuts was in effect this weekend.

We were lucky to have cute Philly Cousin Kate visiting.
She loved Mimi, but Mimi wasn't too sure about her.
Luckily, next door neighbor Kate was there to the rescue.  Mimi is pretty picky these days of who she likes to hang with.  It's kind of ANNOYING to say the least.  Glad she knows her mama, but really child, let some one else hold you! :)
Nate always is happy to pose for the camera.  What cuties they all are.
They worked for hours trying to get 3 high.  I actually think they might have even gotten 4 high for a split second.  Kind of scary, but pretty cool!!
Taylor is always willing to get in and play which is the best thing a family of boys could ask for.  Although, you can see this little girlie has him pretty happy too.
Our Friends the Jonese are living here this year doing a fellowship at the U.  It's taken us almost the whole year, but we finally got the boys together. They are one of the 4 family of 4 boys that we met in Ohio.  What great company and what a great place to hang with friends.
A picture of Calvin and Jake chillin in the golf cart. Below, they are on a pick up run to refuel the golf balls for the hitting range.  Man, we are lucky to live in a beautiful place like this.

So, because we can't drive to Heber EVERY DAY.. we bought ourselves a pool!!!  It's pretty white trash and we LOVE it.  However, we are concerned it won't get warm enough for us.  We bought a solar water heater and it's got a great filter system. We are hoping it will be the best purchase yet.

The annual Live wElle was held the Saturday before Labor Day.  The kids always have a blast at this fun run because it's right in our neighborhood.  Cute Sam and Nate getting ready for their races.  Just a little nervous.

Luke ran the 5k with me, so I didn't get any pictures of us.  He did awesome and got his best time yet.  Jake got second in the mile and was SO BUGGED he couldn't beat out first place.  I have to say, the gold medalist, was a little dirty in pushing jake out of the way at the last second, but it was a fun battle to watch.  Way to go dude.  That's our neighbor Ryan Franks in Third place.  Speedy boys below:
Another great thing that brings my sister and family up this way this year is high school rodeo club.  Cam and Kaden had a rodeo in Nephi and we spent the day in the much needed sun.  It is always great to watch nieces and nephews in activites.  Glad we have cousins.  Lily is right in between Sam and Nate and they both love her and her sassy attitude.  So great!
Just a random picture I took of Jake 2 days after buying a rubics cube.  He spent hours on youtube figuring out how to solve it.  He is a pro now.  I just love seeing my kids interested in something and working hard to figure things out!  But, go to bed already, it's late!!!
