Sam's Blessing Day

Not the best pictures of the little man -- We sure love him though.  He was 2 months when we blessed him and Taylor joked Sam was going to go up to the microphone and share his testimony after the blessing -- he is a big 2 month old for sure!  But we were glad to wait so we could have so many friends and family come.
   Our growing family..

I uploaded all these pictures backwards, and my new MAC is really not friendly when it comes to blogging -- so they are all staying in the wrong order -- if anyone has any techno suggestions, let 'em rip... :)
This was the picture in the car after we took the last of our guests home (Grammie and Grandpa Nadauld) They were all pretty tired out from the fun weekend..  See the pictures below to visualize the excitement.
My mom and Heather came AGAIN for the blessing.  It was so nice to have them here again.  They helped once again with projects and especially with packing since we moved 2 weeks after the blessing.

Pictures of the after party.  It was hoppin'.  :)

Grammie and Grandpa Nadauld made it for the blessing and got to meet little Sam for the first time.  I think he stole their hearts too. It was a full house, but we were so grateful everyone made the effort to come.

Me and Heather
Nadaulds, Heather, Jerome and Mamata (Taylor's colleagues), me & Sam, Taylor, Norma (our favorite next door neighbor), Rose (Taylor's colleague), Mom Heaton and Brother Lonny

Sam getting ready for the big day.

Mom and sister getting ready for the after party.  It was a lot of cooking on their part -- but it turned out fun. I love having Heather around, cuz she loves to hold babies.  Sam definitely loves his aunt and grandma too!

I was so glad my brother was able to make it to the blessing.  He flew in on Saturday night and left on Sunday afternoon.  It was so great to have the Heaton's represented in the blessing circle.  It's times like these that I miss my dad -- but am so grateful to have such a wonderful family.  The kids LOVED uncle Lonny.  He did magic tricks and played dunk ball with them.  What more could kids want!!

I guess we should Get our House ready to sell...

OUR FIRST HOME!!  We loved our 2675 Nottingham Road little Ranch.  1230 square feet on the main floor and a full partially finished basement downstairs!  We put the home on the market on Thursday and on Sunday we had it SOLD.. I guess it really was a great place.  We were so blessed but a little shocked it sold so fast.  We were homeless for 2 months because of it.  But we can't complain-- we'd rather have it sold.

Our crazy back yard was fenced and full of random toys.  The kids and their friends loved it.

The Great room/ dinning room above..

Our "do it yourself" remmodled kitchen.

Jake and Luke's room
Sam's room -- was the office for the entire time, but we staged it as a room to sell.  I don't have any pictures of our office I cou
ld find.  We did the chair rail in there ourselves.. we were proud construction workers. :)
The Master bedroom

The basement. The playroom, the bathroom and the TV room.  There was a large laundry room, but I can't find a picture of that either -- bummer!  Anyway -- our lovely home.  It makes me soo sad to post these pictures.  I miss it more than I thought I would miss an old fixer upper.

BYU here we come...

And we are SO EXCITED.
Taylor starts as a BYU finance professor July 1st, so we will be selling our house and heading WEST in the NEAR future.
We are sad to be leaving good friends here in Ohio and especially to be missing the Ohio summers (BBQ, Swimming, Running, playing at the park and zoo) that is our favorite time of year out here.
BTW -- Samuel smiles on demand now, and it's pretty cute. I can't seem to get a good picture -- I guess they are never as cute as they are in person!
