Halloween

Those Franks are so nice to us... thanks to them we had a GREAT time carving pumpkins.  I usually have to do it myself with the kids because Taylor isn't a big fan... Not this year.

Luke was Hulk... green face and all thanks to Grammie who met him at school and got him ready.
 Captain America Jake
Thor for Luke and Spiderman for Nate.

Trick or Treating in action for the little boys.

Luke Sam and Nate came home early to count their loot and eat a little sugar before bed... Jake was in it to win it and stayed out late bringing home the motherload of candy.

A family of super heros!  On our way to the ward party.  Yup, we were the only adults to dress up AGAIN this year.. but hey -- no one is calling us the party poopers around our neighborhood! :)

Trip to Disneyland... oh wait, just Lagoon.

So, Taylor hates Disneyland... well, he hates the idea of standing in long lines with lots of people with screaming kids.  I think he actually would like Disneyland.. but I have to take baby steps with him.. We are making a tradition of going to Lagoon once a year. :)
It was a pretty sweet trip for the kids.. We rented the hotel in West Salt Lake that has the waterslide that goes out of the hotel and into the pool house?  You may have seen it off the freeway.  Anyway, the kids thought it was awesome to stay up late, swim and watch a movie.  The Icees were quite yummy too.
Then we left early and hit the whole day at Lagoon!

The boys were great on all the rides.. Jake is a little more of a dare devil than Luke, but he tried all of them.  I didn't make him do them twice if he didn't like them, some he did over and over and some only once.  :)

It was fright mares at lagoon and they had creepy people all over the park.  It was really funny to watch sam and nate around them... they hated it.  But they still wanted to look, and when the people came near - they freaked.

Amongst all the exciting rides, we got a few just fun, chill rides too.  Everyone was happy. Even Taylor said it was a good day... baby steps.
We were planning to leave by 7pm but were having too much fun.  The boys all of them, even Nate loved the spinny rides.  Here they are doing it over and over into the night.
YES -- I have 4 wanted boys around my house.  NO -- you can't have them.

Cougar Run.. new traditions

BYU Cougar Run

Might just be the most fun we've had as a family while getting exercise!  It was the homecoming race and it totally is a family affair.  There is a race for every age and every runner and we got the whole family involved and having a good time.. The free breakfast was just a bonus.
Waiting for the races to start... Nate - you are a goof, why do you have to stick out your bum when we say smile for the camera.  What a nut. :)

Sam and Nate raced first... It was the 200.  Jake ran along side of Sam to give him encouragement.. but Sam just wanted to give up. He finished 15th though.. you can see his name last on the jumbotron.
Nate did about as well as Sam.. we are going to have to practice running in a big stadium.. they both just got so shy with everyone watching. It was painful.

Jake did great and held his energy till the last 100 meters.  He was only beat out by one -- Nathan Galbraith.  His mom is my friend Heidi.  She is the one who ran the UV marathon with me just to keep me company.  She also ran the hobblecreek 7 months pregnant with me and beat me there too!!  So, it is in his genes to be fast.. I was proud of Jake for keeping up!

Luke to the left -- did so awesome, because he never gave up.. He likes to run hard for a minute and then stop, but he just slow and steady kept going the whole race.  I  was impressed. Three cheers for Luke!

OUR MEDAL NADAULDS... They look cute on the winners mound.

Taylor and I ran the 5K.. Taylor busted up the first hill and then waited for me.. I told him not too, because I'm kind of like a horse.  I don't go fast, but I stay consistent.  I beat him in the end, and felt bad he slowed at the start to wait.... It was fun to run the race together though. My hope is that someday we'll really race together.  We just tried to keep an 8 average for this race and did it! under 25 minutes. Just one week after the marathon.

Soccer and Football...

Uhh... how am I going to have all boys.. It's physically IMPOSSIBLE to get them everywhere.  Our month of October was CRAZY.  We had 2 or 3 soccer games on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 2 different football games on Mondays and Wednesdays.  And then we had competitive soccer on Saturdays.. Ah.. that's with a 8, 7 and 3 year old.. What is it going to be like when they are all teenagers..  whew.. breath AnnDee, one day at a time here.

Soccer First...

Luke Dizzle
Such a smooth kid.

 Sam Twizzle

Oh yeah, I got to coach this little team too!  Thanks to Jenn who has 3 kids in the EXACT same stuff as my three -- so we really organized with each other and couldn't have survived otherwise.
Oh yeah, and after all my complaining ... Jenn has 2 more kids in Dance on top of all the sports we were go to and participating in.. Man, I got it easy.

Jake Shizzle

I can't complain really... it's so fun to watch them!

And now Football....

Taylor coached both the boys teams... He was a little stressed because the games were at 5pm and he had young mens in addition on Wednesday nights... but he did it and the teams did great!

He had some good assistants... Rob was there most the time and when Jenn and I had to step in, it wasn't pretty.. So thanks to Rob for coming when he wasn't traveling for work!!

This boy has some competitive spirit for sure!  Check out his excitement over a great play!
Jake's team made it to the super bowl, but lost to a GREAT team.. We'd be bitter, except we now play on the same basketball team as the other coaches son.

Great season of sports boys.. keep up the good work and we'll be back next year with an even busier schedule, I'm sure!
