Ohio Girls Retreat

We made some pretty amazing friends in Ohio while we were there.  I love that they all get together (the girls at least) once a year.  This year, the retreat was in St. George.  Kirsten was the "official" photographer, but I took just a couple shots.  When she gets all the other pictures out, I'll add more.
We went on a SUPER fun hike right south of Cedar called Kanaraville Falls.  It had some slot canyons and beautiful scenery and we got to walk through the water for part of the hike.  SUPER pretty and fun and refreshing.
Angie was one of my besties in Ohio.. She babysat my boys while I worked and I just loved to hang out with her and their family whenever we could.  She lives in NC now and I haven't seen her in 5 years.  They were trying to come out to NYC while we were there, but deaths in the family muffed up the plans.  So, I was SUPER excited to see this lady and catch up.
During the hike there was  a water slide that a few of us ladies braved.  I have the footage to prove it.

Jeannette Bowen has always been the wise woman of the group and she is first to hit the dreaded 40 this year.  She hates vegetables so in addition to the traditional candy bar sign, we made her a veggie sign.  It turned out so fun. :)
The weather was perfect and warm and we even had one night of a sprinkle so that this lovely rainbow could remind us all about what is important in this life.  I sure think good friends are definitely high up on the list!

Zion's Finance retreat

Taylor's work is rough, right?  Actually, I'm glad they get to do things every once in a while that are fun!

Each September, the finance department hosts this finance retreat in Zions National Park.  They actually get several really big finance names to come and enjoy the weekend.

One of the many reasons I LOVE Utah.  It is beautiful.  I just got all these pictures from Taylor's phone, so I'll have to label who everyone is later (when he looks at it.)... but here are some shots.

Naomi's Blessing Day

Naomi's big day.  She was a perfect little baby all through the Sacrament Meeting.  So grateful to have her in our family.  A few pictures of her blessing day.

This sweet dress was made by my mom Grandma Heaton, and I LOVE it. just sweet and simple. The beautiful crocheted blanket was made by Taylor's mom Grammie Nadauld.  So perfect.

We are all a little closer to heaven with Mimi around.  Everyone LOVES her to pieces.. so much that we sometimes (most the time) get to see this of her:

It's okay, I still love her even with all the crying! :)
Just a few shots of the day... can't get enough, right??

SOME OF THE BEST GRANDPARENTS IN THE WORLD.  Mimi is so lucky to have each of them in her life.

 THE BEST, I SAY!

I have to say, when a Nadauld has an ordinance completed, there is a LARGE circle of loved ones.. This is a picture of all the Priesthood holders that participated in the Blessing.
L2R: Steve Sr., Luke Jepson, Mike Dehner, Lonny, Taylor, Adam, Kyle Brostrom, Lincoln, Steve Jr., Justen
It really means a lot to me to feel of everyone's love at special times like this.  I had family travel many hours to be there just for a couple hours.  Thanks to my Brother Lonny who always gives us keepsakes of the blessing, I will have hers forever.  So neat

Just a few of the friends and family that came to support and love on little Naomi.  I never get great pictures of the party, but you get the idea.  Several more people were there, I just caught a few at the tail end.  Glad I got a couple photos at least!
Cute Neices and Sis in Law above. L2R: Lindsay, Kate, Estelle, Sydney
And a few more of our DREAMY little one.
So grateful Heavenly Father sent you to us!

Just some Pics SEPTEMBER

Everyone loves a picture of crazy hair.  Jake and Luke thought the spiked hair was pretty cool. Mimi wanted to try 3 curlers instead of 1 mo-hawk (it didn't work).

And Sam and Nate just wanted in on the fun picture taking.

I have a few pictures of this cutie patutie.  She is even pleasant in her sleep.  awe..
And another for your viewing pleasure.
And a couple more... Even when she cries she's cute.  I think the bottom lip quiver is the cutest ever!
All snug like a bug in a rug.
 Definitely Miss Cutie.

Sam has become quite the artist lately and if he colors well enough (graded by him) he puts it up on his bedroom door.  We have some great pictures decorating up the door right now. :)
We've had a lot of fun in Heber this summer.  The kids spent an entire weekend working on this fort.  It reminded me of my youth and playing in vacant lots, building forts.  So much better than Blanket Forts in the house!! :)  They used the bushes as walls and so once you go in the entrance (you can see) it opened up into a spacious hide out.  So  fun!

We also have REALLY enjoyed the new pool in Heber.  I think kids can be entertained for hours in water.  And I love to sit and watch and bask in the warm weather.  Having cousins close by is always a plus when it comes to fun and creativity!

 Drying out in the heat

Miss sweetie Pie.

Taylor was out of town, so I took the boys and their friends to Chuck a rama for dinner.  All things boys is still pretty fun!  Thanks to Jenn and Robb for watching Mimi.  I don't think she would have enjoyed the outing as much as the boys did.
Everyone loves Naomi, but Luke is especially good with her.  He is a natural with holding and making her laugh.  I can always count on him to bring her to me when she is sad or needs to eat.  He takes good care of her.
What would life be without siblings.  Keeps us happy.
