Daddy's Home

So, it is such a blessing that Taylor has these education classes he teaches for Goldman Sachs.  But timing this year was not optimal.  He had to leave the baby when she was just 6 days old.  Well, he left for a couple days when she was just 2 days old, but that was quick.  Singapore is almost 2 weeks, and when your baby is only 6 days old... two weeks seems like FOREVER.  Taylor was happy to get home and we were happy to get him back.





Taylor really hates traveling, but with views like this I don't feel too bad for him.

 These are pictures of a famous pool in Singapore that is in a hotel on the 26th floor overlooking the city.

 Now, that's an infinity pool!  Taylor had to sneak into the pool because they are very strick about only letting hotel guests in.  But he worked his charm and made it happen.

 This year he had to stay over the weekend, but he was able to find a mormon church.  Isn't it crazy that our small religion is world wide!?  What a blessing to worship with the Singapore saints.  And allow Taylor people to talk to while he was in another country.

Well,  I know it isn't a famous infinity pool... but I believe this view below is hard to beat.

 

A full rainbow right out our front door.  I love the mountains of Utah and feel so lucky to live right at the foot of a beautiful canyon. 

DADDY is home... YAY!!  As happy as we were to get Taylor back in the same country as us, it was hard to say goodbye to Grandmas and yummy meals. (thank you neighbors and friends).  Everyone took great care of me. Taylor for sure had the rough end of the deal.  We are grateful for his hard work and sacrifice to provide for the family.  Taylor resumed his favorite newborn past-time as soon as possible.  Sleeping with baby!

School 2014

 I've got some handsome boys that are growing up WAY TOO FAST.  Jake started 5th grade today.

Luke started 3rd grade in a chinese immersion program

Sam started Kindergarten and gets to ride the bus with Jake

My 3 elementary school aged boys.. off to have a great year, I hope!

 We sure started them all off right.  We had a bus stop breakfast (second annual).  Yummy muffins and fruit to keep them full. Sweet smile Luke. ha

 Complete with a treat they saved for after school. The giant pencil is a roll of rolos with a silver hershey's kiss on the end.  the eraser is pink duct tape.  SO CUTE!

 Saying goodbye to the big boys... Kindergarten didn't start until a week later.  I think the littles couldn't be more excited for school to start!  Look at those faces.

Below is a picture of all the kids getting ready for the bus on the first day everyone got to go to school together.  We luck out each year having the bus stop right at our front door!

 Cutest little kindergarteners and buddies around.  We don't know what we would do without Beckham.  He is like another brother to us!! These boys are going to be trouble when they get into high school. 

 Below is a picture of Sam's first day getting on the bus.  So glad Jake will be there to help him.  One of Sam's teachers told me they saw Jake give Sam a big hug before school when he dropped him off at his classroom.  Ahh... that melted my heart.  I'm so lucky they like each other.  Makes sending them off so much easier!

 A little video clip of Sam's reaction to the first day of school.  he was mostly interested in the treat he got!  But I think day one was a success all around! YAY for school and some time to get the house in order without it instantly being destroyed!

The Todds come for a visit!

It's amazing how quickly little people can fill up a house!  We were so lucky to have the Todds in Utah this summer. We met them in NYC and instantly fell in love with their family.  The best parents/friends and the cutest kids.  We all clicked immediately.  Even though our stay in NYC was just 6 months, we have made some friends to last a lifetime.

Although we just had a newborn, I can't imagine better house guests!  I just wish we could live closer to this amazing family!!

 What a difference 4 months can make.  baby Jacob looks like a giant next to Mimi.  That just documents how dang fast they grow up.  I need to savor every second with this baby.  It may just be the last newborn we get in our house. :(

 A picture of the WHOLE gang (SANS Taylor because he left this morning to head to Singapore before we took the photo).  But he got to spend the day swimming at the Provo rec, and in the River.  You know showing our peeps some of the best things to do in southern Utah County.  Well, if you are a Nadauld, anything good in life has to involve water!  Or as Brandon would say, all the good things about "living in the country."  According to him,  New York is the city, and every where else is the country!  SO CUTE.

 Thanks for coming to see us.  We know it's hard to fit in all the people you can when you are visiting and we sure were glad to hang out for a little bit.  Safe travels back to the big city.

Naomi comes home....

So.. after just 2 short nights in the hospital (I could stay there for a week after babies.  I love it there!!!), we headed home.  The boys were dying to have Naomi at home so they could hold and love on her as much as possible.

The boys were thrilled to bring her home.  They just can't get enough of her.  Sam had a dentist appointment before he came to the hospital. So all his pictures he has a dead cheek and can only do half smiles... so cute!

Everyone needs a turn... First up Jake, I can tell he's going to be a good babysitter.  YES!

 And Nate is constantly touching her and squishing her.  He'd use her as his favorite pillow if I let him!

Below is Sam... I love when the boys fall asleep holding each other.  I have a picture with each baby of some other sibling falling asleep with them.  SO SWEET.

And, this here Lukie is the best babysitter of all.  He isn't afraid to pick her up and bounce her just the right gentle way.  He is so cute with her and hates to see/hear her cry.  He wants Mimi to call him "Pookie"  because it rhymes with "Lukie" and he thinks it will be cute when she starts talking.  :)

First Bath... I always defer on bath time when they are that little, I'm always afraid I will drop them.. They are very fish like at that stage.  Thanks G-ma for helping me out!

So after she was home for 2 days, Taylor headed off to Singapore.  I was a little worried, but My mom and Taylor's mom stepped up and I think I got MORE care than if Taylor were here.  Yes, I did miss him, but man I was spoiled!!

Taylor's mom came the first day Taylor left, and she proposed the idea to take the big boys up to Heber for a few days.  She was worried about me being a lone with baby and that I would need help.  I QUICKLY assured her that baby and I would be just fine.  It was so nice to have so much a lone time with Naomi.  As you can see I didn't hesitate to take pictures of all her cute moments.  I just have so fallen in love with this baby! ahh... so amazing to have these sweet fresh spirits in your home and arms.  I LOVE it.

 This baby is not lacking in blankets and cute outfits.. I haven't bought one thing for her yet and she is set!  It's like dressing a doll, but I never liked to play with dolls.  I guess I was just waiting for the real thing!

 So, between the help of these two ladies, I was really able to relax and gear up for real life.

The hardest part is saying goodbye to the helpers.  Especially mothers that know just was to do to help!  THANK YOU.

The little dress that Mimi is wearing below, is one I wore as a baby.  How fun is that?  I just can't get over having a girl.  It is WAY better than I expected. Margaret kept telling me to not give up having kids until I get a girl.  I say she gave it a valiant effort herself (7 boys).  But I never cared much about just having boys.  I kind of thought it was cool to have a slew of boys running around.  My mom has been so excited since the day we found out it was a girl.  I should have listened more to them both, because if I would have known how much I would bond and love this little girl in a different way than I do the boys I would have been much more excited myself! 

 My mom has a little special connection with this little girl.  Maybe its because she ended up being here to help for close to 2 weeks.  She knows just how to calm her down, and put her right to sleep.  I would say Naomi has been a little fussy, but my mom thinks she's the best baby ever.  Grandma is already spoiling her!

 My aunt Penny made this cute little dress for Mimi.  the boys LOVE it best out of all her cloths so far.

Sometimes, she looks a little too fluffy, but it's always just so cute.  I can't help it!!

 My favorite 5!  I am so blessed to have them in my life.  They teach me how to be more Christlike each day.  Look at all those sweet faces.  Could I be any more lucky?  Happy Sunday everyone!
