October Fun

The Cleggs moved to Texas this summer and we REALLY miss them.  Luckily, they have family and will come back and visit A LOT (I hope).  We decided to make a fun day and go to the kids FAVORITE place.  Chuck E. Cheese.  Look at all these kids and to think, our families started out SOO small..

Below is a picture of Holly and me with Spencer and Jacob.  In just 7 short years... we are way out numbered!  Good thing Shelby is around to add a little estrogen to the equation at least.

We tried to get out and enjoy the beautiful fall colors.  We took a family hike to Stuart Falls. Utah is beautiful in Fall.

And one quick picture of the 2 cute boys I get to hang out with all day.  I love how much they love each other.  I am one Lucky MOM!

Fall Sports -- SOCCER

I think the best thing about being a mom of boys is watching them play sports.  It's so fun to get out in the nice weather and watch them be active.  I love the fall-time just for that.

Jake above and Luke below.  Check out the awesome rainbow in Luke's picture!  Didn't even realize it was there until I looked at the picture.

2011 BIG races (maybe I should say LONG races)

L2R Tara, Kathryn Morrill, Me, Katie Pritchard, Heidi Galbraith (7mos prego)

Hobblecreek Half 2012  Time: 1:44:45  not bad for trying to take it easy (I thought I needed to save up for Pocatello so I could get a Boston qualifying time)
My spirits were really high at this point in my training....
And so it turns out I didn't need to save up, because I totally hit the wall in Idaho.  I got a PR but still not close to what I wanted  1:56:55.  There is still St. George this year right??

Just 4 weeks till my next race -- I can do better.  I can, I can!!
I'm still hopeful for St. George and in good spirits...
With a cheering group like this ... how could I not succeed!!
CUTE... little Lily Ann... LOVE HER!!  She and her sister might be the only daughters I get...

Thank you Heather for supplying me with a Coke.  I am ready to die at this point!!

Below: pictures of me coming around the last corner.  Thanks mom for being there to support along with Taylor and the Boys!

You can see the icyhot on my legs.. because once again... I thought they were going to fall off. :)

One little wave for good measure.  I finished... that's a good thing right?

So -- back to the drawing board.  This race time was worse than Pocatello.  I didn't hit the wall like I did there, but kind of just was out of juice about mile 20... hmmmm  3:59:58  still hit the sub 4hour mark and I am happy about that.

We'll be back next year!!!

September Sports

Taylor coached Jake and Luke's flag football team and they ended the season undefeated!  Way to go boys.  Taylor came up with a great way to substitute players.  They all wore wrist/sweat bands with numbers and each position had a specific number.  Whatever number sweatband they were wearing told them where to be.  It was slick!  We were the quickest and most organized 1st/2nd grade team in town!
 Heisman Jake..
Luke's last soccer game was overcast and so we got a shot of a pretty rainbow.  Cool shot that I took by accident.  His buddies on the team: Porter, Cole, Easton and Luke
 Luke in action....

This month was really crazy with football and soccer at the same time.  I'm glad that at least during football games they played on the same team.  One thing I love about being a mom of boys is going to all the games.  It's the best!

ZOO day and such..

My boys have never been accused of being the cleanest kids around -- but I do think they are the cutest!  Even with messy faces.  How cute is my little Nate munchkin after dinner??

Each morning my boys sit up and they just looked so cute this morning that I had to take a picture.  I hope I always remember this part of my life.. It's pretty charmed.
I got to be a chaperone for the 1st graders Zoo Day.  It was a lot of fun looking at all the animals.
We used to go once a week to the zoo when we lived in Ohio.  Jake and Luke LOVED going.  I think this was the first time I had ever taken Sam and Nate... Thank heavens we have school to get us out to fun places.

Luke's little friend Carter Griffen from his class was in our group for the Zoo.
So, that's the random kid in all the pictures.

Girls Weekend

These are my bestest friends from Dixie High School.  We try as much as possible to get together at least once a year.  It's always such a lifting time.. we visit and eat and visit and play and visit and shop and visit some more!
This trip was at Dana's dad's place and was SOO beautiful and relaxing...  The cruising in the old cars was a highlight.
It was so nice to sleep in and wake up to this view each morning.  I love these girls and look forward to each time we get to hang out!
