Heaton Christmas Program and Nativity

Talent show - Jake did great on the violin -- Allegretto.

Nate was cute too... Can't remember his talent.  Just being cute, I guess.

And Sam did chubby little snowman (tubby witto toeman)

Luke Played a piano piece.. Silent Night

Just some pictures of watching all the cousins..

The boys sang while Kason and Grandma played. (notice that Luke is happy and smiling, just as long as he isn't posing for a picture!)

Not a show without a little trickroping.. right??

 Kolby and some musical talents

Lindsay is who Jake is aspiring to play like... she's pretty amazing on the Violin!

of course, after the talent show... the kids LOVE the nativity play. (I don't know why Luke NEVER smiles for pictures... He really is our happy goofy kid, and I can never capture it on camera)
Another picture of the not smiling Luke as a shepherd.
It's always fun and a little chaotic to get the nativity going.
Sam is another cute shepherd this year.
Lily is so patient with Nate's annoying poking and prodding. :)

    Just love these cute kids!

Christmas wounds.

It would make you mad, if you just didn't know how much fun they WERE having. :)  Jake loves his older cousins and while playing chase - dove into the doorway and caught the handle on his forehead... OUCH.

He lost his 2 front teeth just a few days back and thought he should show off the cut and the lost teeth..
He did great during the doctor's visit... not much crying, and he got to chill with Dad at Grandma and Grandpa Nadaulds so he could rest a little afterwards.
Starting to get a black eye already!  funny how fast it happens.. The next day it looked like this.
Fortunately, we are blessed with a doctor in the family.  And a VERY fun one at that.  The kids thought it was very fun to help uncle Lincoln remove the stitches the week later..  I'm glad Dr. Linc is so professional looking.

Christmas 2nd grade play

The 2nd grade put on a fun holidays play that talked about all the different holiday traditions.  I'm glad they get to learn a little about the rest of the world in school, because Utah is not a very diverse state!  Look at all these kids.. they look like they could be siblings.  I'm sure people out of Utah all see us this way too!!  so fun.  I love Utah. :)

And some blurry pictures just to make us wonder if our eyes work.

Cute Nate helping to put away the chairs after the play.  Love our Baby!

It's Chess time again!

Another month of fun  CHESS tournaments.. The boys did great, again. :)  I can't even remember what place they got but the school got a 2nd place trophy overall, so they were pretty stoked about that!  Funny that I have little chess players and I don't even know how to play myself.  I wonder how long they will like this. I'm hoping not much longer because the tournaments are
ALL day long and very boring for a mom. hahah

Here they are at the awards... the picture to the right is how I spent a lot of the time in the hall keeping Sam and Nate quiet!  They made new friends that had entertaining electronics.  Other moms were much more prepared for the all day event than I was for sure!

Winter Fun with Cousins

A fun new thing we did this year was go on the Polar Express!!  In the winter the Heber Creeper gets turned into the polar express and when Gavin said he wanted to bring his girls up and go we were THRILLED to jump on the train with them.

It's so fun to have some girls around... especially cute ones like the Heaton girls.
A picture of the whole family
And a cute picture of Gavin's family...

We even got cookies and hot cocoa in addition to a fun visit to the North Pole and SANTA CLAUS.  It was a very expensive holiday excursion, but super fun to do once. :)

Getting ready for Christmas..

This year -- thanks to Grandma's help... I finished our stockings.  I LOVE them.  I copied my mom's stockings of little soldiers and Santa and Mrs. Claus.  for my own little family.  I had them cut out for a year... But thanks to mom, I got them hung for the season this year!  THANK YOU.

It's a tradition I hope we can do every year... however it's a big pain for me.  I love the look of popcorn and cranberries on our picture tree.  the boys are pretty good at stringing... even Sam can do it this year.  it gets us all in the mood for the holiday, that's for sure.

Jake had a 2nd grade store and every student had to bring something to sell... Jake made duct tape shoes to sell and they were gone in a jiffy.  Aren't they cool?? he did them all by himself and they really work as shoes... The wonders of Duct Tape.  Really.

sd Luke had his polar express day at shcool and made a train out of candy.  you would never believe I had to force him to school on THIS day... but I did.  Tears and all.  He really isn't liking school and it's just not getting easier as the year goes on.  It's almost getting worse.... if that's possible.  At least he got to eat candy... that was a good part of the day, according to him. :)
Just some cute pictures of the boys the last couple weeks.  Boy, my boys are cute.  No solo of Luke... He doesn't love camera's as much as the others. :)  Or maybe he is just a poor second child that his mother forgets about.... SAD!!
