Some Fun July Outings

s
so, Nina and I were trying to keep the kids busy for a few weeks and we did a ton of things.  We spent a couple days at her reservoir and then at our new resevoir
L2R: Cole, Graham, Griffin, Nate, Jake and Mimi, Sam, Luke and Carter
Then we took a day and ate at the BYU creamery and went to the Bean Museum - the liger was a hit.
There was a cool little slide to play on in the museum.  The best part for the brothers was taking turns taking Mimi down it.  I don't know if it was her favorite or not... She looks a little nervous to me!
I forced the kids to go to the Scera outdoor theater and we watched Joseph and the Amazing Techno-colored Dream coat. It was fun because a family in our ward was in the play.  I think the boys liked it a lot more than they thought.
We headed up to bountiful to see the Dehners for the day and had a blast swimming at their neighbors house. This slide was serious fun!  Ahh, my jealousy is burning inside for their house and backyard.  SO FUN!  A crappy video, but funny to watch them all crash click here: GOING DOWN THE SLIDE
We had a great visit from our New York Friends the Nelsons.  We met them originally when we had no kids and now they have 3 boys and we have our 5 kids.  Taylor loves visiting with Boyd and often meets up with him even when he is just traveling to NYC for business.  It's so fun that our last sabatical there, we re-connected and still think they are the greatest.
Oh, and did I mention we made the GREATEST PURCHASE EVER??? Meet our new toy the golf cart.  We use it on a daily basis.  SUPER FANTASTIC.
Just a couple pictures above and below documenting our awesome nephews.  My kids absolutely adore the big cousins.  We luckily get Breckon for a few weeks before he finds an apartment and the boys are in Heaven.  He has taught them a few naughty tricks like lighting their hands on fire and throwing whip cream and catching it in their mouths.
We are so glad Murph is back from his mission and can resume his entertain the kids role.  He was a good sport to surf with Sam and Nate when we went boating with the Nadaulds this month.  Man, we are lucky to have such amazing family and friends so close!

Oh, and Jake went on his first camp out to Capitol Reef.  This boy has hit some MAJOR milestones this summer about independence!  Glad he doesn't have any problem being away from home, but wish he missed us a little. :)
So, My college roomate Megan came to town and organized a little lunch date with us and the kiddos.  Taylor and Luke were able to take a break from work and come visit as well.  It's been so long since we were single and in college.  Look at the additional kids we have brought to earth since then!!  We really are all crazy.
Love these ladies and so glad to re-connect even if for a few short hours.
