The first couple weeks of March

During Sam's preschool.  I often take Nate to the rec center.  They were learning basketball today.  So funny that Nate is in his pjs.  But if you know Nate he is always in his Pjs.

So, the boys watched teenage mutant ninja turtles and Nate wanted a costume.  Luckily, we have a creative dad that whipped one up quickly for him.  The shell, belt and mask.  Notice the Pjs again!
Luke has been asking me for 3 years to put him in Karate.  We finally did it!  He is in an afterschool Karate program at school.  He's been waiting for this uniform very impatiently for 2 weeks.  FINALLY... it's here!
Sam feeling left out, because I kept taking pictures of everyone else!

A couple pictures of pine wood derby making.  They do it awesome here and just bring the band saw to the church and the boys draw their design, then a helper cuts them all. Next week they will sand.  The next week will paint.  I love the idea of doing it all in SCOUTS.  I hate the dad competition the pinewood derby has become.  Especially, because we don't have any of the skills or desire!! :)  This way is perfect and the kids all get to do exactly what they want. LOVE IT!!!
Another forcing of the boys... I MADE them come to Grand Central Station.  How lame are they?  All they want to do is go to the park all day everyday. haha... but I'm forcing them slowly to see some things too.

Most of the thrill of Grand Central was sliding down the poles and riding the escalators.
And laughing at Nate acting like a nerd... in PJs of course.

The Selanders came to visit from DC.  Having friends here just makes us happy.  It's nice to get to know new people, but it's so fun and comfortable to hang with those you already love!
They have little kids too, so we really just played at the park instead of too much sight seeing.  My kids really appreciated that!

I love this picture because you can see (as Matt put it) the Alpha Male already taking place in our home.  Jake is taking up the whole couch.  All the other boys are squooshed on one couch and the only girl gets the floor!  How funny!!!  When I get my girl, I'm thinking for sure she will be the one on the couch though. Right?
Taylor's girlfriend, Matt.  He was SO happy to see them.  It makes me glad he has such great friends and that they married such great wives so I have some one to hang with too!!
I am doing preschool again this week. So, I have to take  a few pictures to remind me that it's not that bad.  The kids are darling.  I just am SO NOT CREATIVE.  They always have fun though, so I just should not stress so much about it I guess!!

FINALLY -- warm weather!!!!!  it was 60 plus today and we spent ALL DAY outside.
Thanks to great friends, we were entertained for hours.  Isn't Nate such a good babysitter?  Love the doll stroller he was using to push his friend around.  Don't have any of those around our house!
Notice, no jackets!  What a fun day to just bask in the sun.  I so needed it.  Defrosting is the best after a super cold winter.  I have to saver it, because it's supposed to snow again tomorrow. UGH.
Didn't realize the BOB would hold three so well!  I passed a guy while I was walking that said, "what a perfect picture.  Seize this moment."  So, I did.  Luke was at a play date at a friends house, so I'm missing him here, but boys with sticks in hand are my life.  I sure love it. Glad the stranger reminded me to take a picture and to smile.  I've been smiling all day because it's warm, but I also just smile when I see these cute faces.  It's a good reminder for us all to seize every great moment a little more often. (pjs for Nate again!)

Bob strollers are the best, but I'm still jealous of the deal you got. Dang yo! The pinewood making at scouts is perfect. Seriously, everyone should do that, oh and weren't Matt and Taylor our home teachers? Companions together again. :) Oh, and my last question...you keep talking about your girl...are you preggers?
