One of our favorite vacations is going to Island park with Taylor's family each summer. This year, we started the week off with a family Triathlon. Since Nadauld means boys and boys me motorized vehicles, the biking leg of the race became the motocycle, atv, portion. Here they are being shuttle to the starting line.
Warming up for the Run Leg of the race.
The swim..
Taylor finishing the biking in 4th place overall. Our sis-in-law Lindsay won the whole thing. She is one athlete!! None of the other sis-in-laws raced, but hey -- we were represented well!! I had to pass because I hurt my foot the week before. I'm already training for next year!!
The kids did a mini tri.. They were just happy to have numbers written on their arms and legs.
The Run... Charlie and Jake in 2nd and 3rd place. Kate was killing them all!
Luke and Kate -- not sure what place they are...
The SWIM..
Proud finishers!!! the third portion for the kids was scooters and bikes. They LOVED it. What a fun way to get some exercise!
Jake was in heaven when Taylor said he was finally big enough to ride the mini motorcycles on his own! On the right is a pic of Luke and Noah -- just hangin' out!
Fun inside and out at hodge lodge.
Death Tubing! Something crazy the brothers do. Now, some of the nephews are old enough to join in. Sometimes I'm a little worried that I'm surrounded by boys. They are fun --- but CRAZY!! A cute picture of my boys.
Jake was awesome at wakeboarding! He loves it.
Grammie going for a ride and helping with grandkids. And Grandpa holding his own with the water sports. Not only did he complete the triathlon, he decided to do a little slalom for more exercise! Impressive! What a couple great grandparents my kids are blessed with! Thanks for the awesome vacation! We love hanging out with all of you!
Luke and Jake snoozing on the boat. Luke is under the Britain towel.
Sam playing in the sand bank.
Mini cliff jumping for the kids
Taylor flipping off the cliff. And then Diving off the cliff. Neither one is that smart -- but I am still impressed he is so athletic! I think he takes after his dad!
And a moose we saw down in the water.
Little buddies, Matthew and Samuel. We love having cousins the same age as our kids. It's just fun every time we are all together. And of course a cute pic of Nate. He learned to suck his thumb on this vacation. A little annoying, but so convenient..... and cute!
