Oceanside - Our little piece of Heaven

We look forward to our family beach trip every summer!!  Somehow, it never disappoints!

The view from our balcony. We spent all our meals sitting out here enjoying the serenity of the waves.  How is it that you can watch the ocean for hours and never get bored!?
I absolutely love staying in North Coast Village, because we get to enjoy the beach and sand but also the warm clean pool and hot tub too.  I tell ya, a perfect balance!!

I love watching Nate and Mimi play.  He is almost 5 years older, but he gets her and she loves him!  They hung out most the time together on the beach and in the condo.

So funny how Sam (who is really just a year older than Nate) relates more to the big boys.  He idolized them and tries to keep up as much as possible.  These pictures are of snorkling at lajoia cove. Look closely below you can see the seals on the rocks catching some rays.
The next few pictures are of my mom and the kids.  We are lucky when it works out for her to come with us.  She's the best traveler.  She's chill and SOOO helpful and the kids LOVE to have her around.

She's up for anything and always boogie boards and swims and plays at the beach with us.

Best Grandma around.  And she always makes a point to take us to Ruby's Diner at some point during our stay.  How Appropriate!! :)

One of my favorite things is to ride the big wagon bikes on the boardwalk.  PS - could Mimi be any cuter in that picture below?

We love to play at the beach... and here's a few pictures of the water and sand:

Mom and Drew - Not as bad as I imagined with the new born.  He's liking the beach, so I guess he's allowed to stay a member of the family!

Taylor Battling the waves with the boys
These boys are SOO lucky to have such a fun and active dad.

And Mimi is pretty lucky too, because he is totally wrapped around her pinky!  How cute is her hat and diaper bum?

Click this link to see mimi and nate.  Mostly it's so cute to see Mimi talking before she was even 2 years old.  It melts our hearts.  Cute MIMI

We made it the whole week with just a few extra entertainment items: The mormon Battalion, the swap meet, and the movies.
Panning for gold at the mormon battalion

Finding Dory:

I wish it wouldn't come to an end.  I guess we'll just get excited for next year when we get to come again!! So long Oceanside 2016!

Water Works

What would my clan do if there was no such thing as water to play in.  It's a family favorite and I'm happy to oblige when it means I get to sit in the warm sun as well!  Below are a few water pictures this month!

 CAN'T
 GET
 ENOUGH
 OF THIS SWEET THING!

 Peace Out Sam!

More reservoir pictures.  The greatest little pocket in Springville.  Just a mile away!

Sam, and his two best buddies.  Beckam above and Nick below.  We couldn't survive without these little guys hanging around.  Lucky for Nate - they both like him too and it's perfect when either of them come to play!
This little one is PURE JOY!!  She is so easy to entertain, and loves everything.  She's not TOO adventurous, which is much easier for me.  But, she is happy and content to explore and do her own thing.  I couldn't ask for a better present than this little angel.  We sure love her to pieces.

 More fun in the water!

AnnDee's 20 year class reunion

Because I have the best friends in the world, I got roped into helping with our class reunion ;)  It was super fun to see all my 1996 Flyers.

A couple group shots from the night.
Some of my "besties" from school.  We had such a neat group of friends.  Everyone supporting everyone.
People came from all over the country and it was so fun to re-connect.
 Just goofing around!

Just some ball, birthday, and babies!

I'm an old hag - it's official.

Thanks to my sweet workout buddies for taking time to go to lunch on my birthday.  It's always fun to hang with them! wow 38 is feeling old.  Good thing I have this cute bug to keep me young.
just 2 months old! Still not a lot of sleep, and quite a lot of crying.  We've got to get this routine figured out.  Or stop having babies.  Or both.

Sam played on a city Baseball team this year with some buddies from his class.  Jake and Luke never liked baseball, so this was kind of fun to throw into the mix this year.  We'll see if it sticks. :)
One of the boys favorite competitions is the Jimmer Jam three on three tournament.  No champions this year, but 2 really well fought battles.

We had another broken bone in the family.  Quite sad that Sam actually broke it 4 weeks ago.  We just kept telling him to be tough!  Then last week he and Luke were wrestling and he hurt it again.  When we got the x-ray, they told us it really was broke before.  EEK.  The first time was due to Dad playing kickball with them and throwing the ball too hard at just the right angle to snap his little wrist.

Luke went for his last year to Camp Floyd such a fun few days for the boys to learn and reinact the civil war. Cutest Soldiers around!
When it comes to eating, this little guy hates healthy food, BUT a pie eating contest? WINNER for sure.  Nate had fun at Taylor's work party showing off his pie pounding skills.

Oldest and Youngest.  Both a little disheveled. But also fairly appropriate picture of Drew - always a little concerned and miserable.  Poor guy.  He's not liking earth life so well yet!  We'll keep loving him until he does though!

A little break from the kids!

Just to be nice, my sister took my kids for a few days so I could spend some one on one time with the baby.  Or, catch up on some sleep!  The kids never wanted to come back home.  She takes such good care of them!

This video is so cute of mimi - not even 2.  Saying Heather's name and telling the kids she wanted to walk.  She's such a good talker.  It's SO CUTE to see what's going on in her head.

Some pictures of playing in Pine Valley at the Lewis's cabin.

And you can see how much fun they have just being boys with the lewis family. this is a video of Sam and one of his adventures while staying with my sister.   I don't know what we'd do without her and her family!

 One tuckered out little boy!

Another helpful day, was when Grammie and Grandpa Nadauld called out of the blue to say they were coming to help us in church.
Having Taylor up on the stand has made 9:00am sacrament meeting such a challenge to get to on time, and wrangle all the kids by myself.  It was such a nice surprise to have them here to help!
This little bug is getting bigger each day.  We sure love him and are still getting used to 6 kids.  Whew.  It's a lot!
