Luke is 6 and his party was OUT OF THIS WORLD

Our favorite tradition is breakfast in bed for your birthday...   It's hard for all the kids to wait for their breakfast, but they love taking it to the brother whose special day it is.

Luke chose Donuts and juice and ham and strawberries... yum yum.

The party was out of this world and we had a very scary ALIEN cake.

We played dress up like an alien relays...
And don't eat the alien games..

Cake and presents are always a highlight for the parties of my boys... Luke got a lava lava lamp that he thought was just SOOO cool.  why wouldn't he, right?

The silly gang we had for the party.

back row: Peyton Bird, Easton Swenson, Gavin,
middle row: Jake, Halle Murphy, Carter, Luke Griffen
front row: Cooper Murphy, Porter, Sam, Laura and Cole hixson

Another year older Luke!  Hope you are wiser too.  We sure love you..

SMORE SUMMER FUN..

Grandpa and the Sam and Nate -- my boys love when their Grandparents stop by for a visit!

Lily and Nate... they are trying really hard to get a long.  We got to play with Lily for 2 days while the Lewises filmed 17 miracles.  ooh I need a girl.  Good thing I have such cute nieces to borrow.

Some Trampoline and sprinkler Acrobats.... Pretty impressive eh?

Tubing... and battling.... and throwing around..

1....  2......  3.......

And chuck them in the water....

Summer is the BEST... pools and boats and tubes and rivers and ponds and lots of SUN!!

Sam, Luke, Jake in grandma heaton's pool and
Sam in the boat at Deer Creek.
 Nate in his sweet goggles..

Grandpa Nadauld showing his stuff at 69 years old.  This man is amazing!  We love that he is so active and involved in all he does.
A little tubing trip on Deer Creek with Adam and his boys.
My 4 munchkins all lined up after jumping in the creek... I'm a lucky moma!

It's always fun in the summer because cousins can come visit for sleepovers and snowcones.

The boys are working hard to fix the "new" 4-wheeler.  I guess it's good to by inexpensive things, but there is a fine line between inexpensive and cheap... we are still feeling out the boundaries
around the Nadauld home.
So funny to look back and see them asleep in the exact same position!  I tired them out -- finally.
Cute Nate helping me do yard work...  The jobs that never really ever get finished definitely include laundry and yard work at our house.

Heaton Reunion 2011

Our reunion was kind of last minute this year because there was snow in northern utah (where we originally planned the reunion) until mid June.  But, with the help of the Lewis' we had a great time!

Taylor teaching Jake how to fish.  He LOVES it and has the patience for it.  We need to send him off with Grandpa Nadauld for some REAL lessons.

When the pond is stocked... it makes for some fun fishin'!
Richard Lewis let us Heaton's all come up one day of the Reunion to the PineValley house.  We hiked in the morning and lounged around all afternoon.  The horse and buggy rides were a hit.

Heather and I took some of the kids on a paddle boat ride around the pond for a little exercise.
Luke and Gavin stayed entertained playing with deer bones they found on the property.

The next day of the reunion, we all went to Panquitch to help de-horn and castrate the calves.. Kind of sad.. and gross.. and smelly.. They boys really liked it.

Above: Jake is pushing the calves into the loading shoot.
Below:  Me helping the little boys get a look at the process.

At least we got a little horseback riding in.... in between torturing the cows.

Grandma and Nate

I was surprised how even the little boys could help.  Here Jake and Colby are chasing the cows into the shoot.

Taylor tried to help in between sneezing and wheezing (he's allergic to cows and horses).

A couple pictures of just hanging out... Nate on the horse and
Nate, and Sam, and me on the 4-wheeler.

Luke, Preston, Gavin and Jake -- best of cousins out exploring on the panguich property.

Nate is pretty flexible -- he does this all the time, so I had to get a picture.  My other kids were too fat to bend this way!! :)

Live wElle 2011

Nate and Lily cozy waiting for the runners.

Below is Luke finishing his run... way to not give up Luke, you did GREAT!!
Jake running his heart out.  This was the first year he ran the whole 5K... he did it in 33 minutes. Thanks to cousin Cam that ran the race with him so he didn't get lost.

Our little runner family... makes me so proud. :)
